Chapter 1 and 2:

I think that Chris is just trying to let go of all the material things that his parents had pushed on him for many years. He is trying to grow as a person and see who he really is/ who he wants to be. I also think he is a very nice guy but might be a little lost and trying to find his way in life. I wonder why he changed his name and lied to those he became close to but I think he is just trying to start completely over. I think he should have told his family where he was going so that they would not worry so much. I like the book so far and I am very interested to see where it goes and how Chris will change.
